What do I need to bring?
For your retreat experience you will need to bring a sleeping bag (or bedding for a twin bed), pillow, towel, wash cloth, your clothes and any personal items. You may want to bring extra shoes
How much time should I allow for Team Building?
It usually takes a minimum of 3 4 hours for a team building activity. We can schedule up to a full day if you would like.
Is the Low Ropes Course the same as an Obstacle Course?
No. The low ropes course is a series of challenges that must be completed as a team. An obstacle course is typically designed to be a personal challenge or a competition. Where an obstacle course has its place, our focus is on team unity.
When can I arrive for my retreat?
Based on availability you can arrive basically whenever you would like. Just arrange the details with the Director when you make your reservation.
What are these Mountain Board things?
Mountain Boards are basically Snow Boards with wheels. We have 8 Mountain Boards (along with all of the appropriate padding and safety gear!) that we ride down the hills at Camp Glen. MBS (the manufacturer) has a motto that Snow melts… Dirt doesn’t!
Is there a camp store?
Yes. We have a small gift shop where we will have snacks, Camp Glen souvenirs and some basic personal items (just in case you forgot something).
Can I cook my own meals while I am at Camp Glen?
Unfortunately no. In an effort to better serve you we have made the decision to provide food service for all of the groups that come to Camp Glen. We will be glad to work with you to plan a menu that will be appropriate for your group, and special requests can be negotiated.
What kind of food do you cook?
The food at Camp Glen is good old-fashioned home cooking. We serve family style, and we guarantee that you will not go away hungry! A typical dinner menu might look like:
Home Made Lasagna
Green Bean Medley (green beans with white potatoes)
Salad Bar
Home Made Pie
Iced Tea, Milk, Water, Coffee, Specialty Teas
